The following general conditions are those which a partnership must have in place for the Safer Socialising Award Scheme.

  • A radio scheme linking licensees to warn them of current problems and issues.
  • CCTV to monitor activity on the ground and be directed towards potential problems experienced by radio users.
  • Photographs and information-sharing to make licensees, door supervisors and staff aware of persons who may be violent or disorderly, enabling them to refuse entry and to report their presence to other members and CCTV via radio.
  • Evidence gathering from incidents, collated via the partnership crime manager. Evidence can be used to issue exclusion notices to those people whose presence on licensed premises is not conducive to good order.
  • Evidence gathering will also help police assess potential targets for anti-social behaviour orders or bail conditions excluding offenders from certain premises or locations.
