Farmers Market Expansion Plans
After successfully increasing to the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of
every month, Hastings Farmers’ Market is now extending its hours
from 10am - 4pm.
The market is also re- launching as a Farmers Market and
Fair-trade Fair in order to enable a wider range of stalls to
attend, to attract more customers and to support Hastings and St
Leonards’ aim to become a Fair-trade town.
The market has been running for 4 years and helps to increase
access to fresh local produce. 46% of customers said they came
mainly to buy fruit and vegetables.
